Days later one of the girls went with her housemother grocery shopping. The cart was getting full when she started going through the items and making suggestions on ways to save. The housemother recounted, “It was so rewarding to listen to what she had learned. When she suggested I reconsider purchasing a certain item because another brand was not only cheaper, but it was buy one, get one free, I was elated.”
As CEO, I’m pleased to know our youth are not only being exposed to and learning these life skills, but they are passing the savings up the line.
