Because the Lord makes all things work to the good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes, our blunders often look like they were part of God’s divine plan, as if He orchestrated our failures for our own good.
Here’s what I have learned about that. Those mistakes don’t work for our good unless, and until, we acknowledge them as failures on our part. Not only must we own our part, we must also work hard toward not making the same mistake again. Only then will we see anything positive come from the messes we make. When we do wrong, and confess it as such, God begins to make it right. That’s amazing, and it’s called grace.
Take Away: It’s never a mistake to trust God with our failures.
