One statistic alone, however, speaks to the sad psychological condition of our children. I believe it is the thermometer of our society. By that I mean it measures the general mental health of our culture - teen suicide. Did you know teen suicides have tripled in the past 30 years? Tripled!
Our culture promotes it as the best period of our lives but for an ever increasing number of young people in America, the adolescent years are becoming so unbearable they’d rather die than continue living. This is not okay. We must not accept this as normal. We must and we can turn this around. We can change reality. We can create a promising future that our children will choose life.
