“Get to know two things about a man,” claims Robert McCraken, “how he earns his money and how he spends it – and you have the clue to his character, for you have a searchlight that shows up the inmost recesses of his soul. You know all you need to know about his standards, his motives, his driving desires, and his real religion.” McCraken makes a point. Who knew money had that kind of value?
But I know someone who said it even better. Jesus said this about money, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Think about. Our treasure doesn’t follow our heart. It’s our heart that follows our treasure. Be careful then, of what you treasure.
Take Away: Money reflects what is in the heart of an individual – for good or evil.
