Perception matters. It matters because, to a large extent, perception is reality. The way you present yourself is the impression you leave behind. As you go about the business of your life people will make judgment calls about your personality, character, and capabilities based simply on your appearance – at first they have nothing else to go on.
Perception matters because perception equals projection. How you dress, the language you use, the way you carry yourselves is a forecast of you. There’s no escaping it. People intuitively see those things as the symbols of your beliefs and attitudes. Change the way you look and you will change the way others look at you.
