When our enemy does to us what enemies do, it’s no surprise. It’s like a straight on attack. We don’t like it. We wish we didn't have enemies but we do and so we deal with it. Yet, when it comes from a friend it’s not so easy. It’s like being stabbed in the back. We feel betrayed.
At that moment, the moment our friend treats us like an enemy we should no longer treat them as a friend. Instead, we treat them as an enemy. Now, didn't Jesus give us some very clear instructions on how we’re to treat our enemies? Yep, sure did. Forgive them.
