At camp kids are physically active, unplugged from technology and plugged into nature. They acquire lifelong skills, including teamwork. They learn more about their strengths and gifts and discover they can be successful at so many different things. Camp helps kids become more confident and resilient, but maybe the best part of all are the friends they make.
Since those magical summers of my early twenties, I’ve been a part of a number of camps from Tennessee to Alaska, and I’m so very excited that Patrick Henry Family Services offers summer camp. For more information about camp opportunities this summer, check us out at hatcreekcamps.org.
