I fear though we may have now gone too far. Bolstered by the godly desire to give our children a better life, we’ve showered them with unwarranted praise, smothered them with unneeded attention, and have given them too much stuff. We have confused giving them what they want, with providing them with what they need.
Indeed, we’ve given this generation of children a better life, probably the best life of any generation in American history, but what is that if we fail to show them how to live better? That’s the real goal.
