But as I thought about the milk and the gas I realized that even if the gas and milk are the same price you can’t use them for the same things. You can’t put milk in your gas tank, or put gas on your breakfast cereal.
I think one of the problems with our culture today is that kids need milk, but we are giving them gasoline. And the result is a culture that is exploding.
Kids need the milk of family stability, the milk of safety and love. Instead we are giving them the gasoline of violent T.V. shows, movies and video games. We are giving them the gasoline of too much money, and not enough lessons about how to live a thrifty life. All of this leads to a volatile mix that could easily explode.
