Since we continually develop all of our life from one stage to the next, when exactly do we become fully human? The first time we cry? Or maybe the first time we say no? How about at our first birthday, or our first crush? When? Is it when we are capable of knowing right from wrong? When we get acne? Are we fully human when we are old enough to drink, vote, or go to war?
Are we fully human when we decide to abort a fetus simply because we have that choice? I’m not actually sure what it means to be fully human but at age 50 I’m pretty sure I’ve not yet arrived.
