There’s something strangely alluring about pity. There’s something about wanting people to feel sorry for you that can keep you wallowing in your own need. Instead of fixing the problem, or learning to adapt to your problem, you milk it for all the pity you can get from others. But, in the end that is all you have – pity – if you even have that.
You see, real pity is usually reserved for those who truly deserve it but don’t want it and don’t seek it. Pity is rarely ever wasted on those who want it, pursue it, but don’t deserve it. Pity is a dead end street. Don’t go down that road. I won’t feel sorry for you if you do.
Take Away: Pity is a dead end street.
