And, you know what they say about that? We don’t truly appreciate someone until they are gone. But we don’t have to lose someone before we finally learn to appreciate them. I believe there are two perspectives that can help us be more appreciative of others.
First, we must understand they not only want, but also need to be appreciated. When we don’t properly express our gratitude it’s like we are robbing them of a fundamental need like food or water. And secondly, the most amazing thing about expressing appreciation is what it does for us as well. The more we give, the more we receive in return.
Take Away: We need to appreciate the value of appreciation.
