It also requires capacity. Without capacity, the ministry can be “vision heavy,” its passion non-directed. Without capacity, it’s all boot and no pony. Organizations don’t fail because of the services they offer. They fail because they don’t have administrative, or organizational capacity. Increasing these are necessary to max out the mission. Without this vital step an organization will reach a limit in its ability to offer services.
A small organization, even with a big vision, is limited by its lack of capacity. It has few resources, and that hampers its ability to carrying out its mission. Growing the size of its structure, and strength of its capacity, the ministry increases its ability to fulfill its calling, to do what it was established to do, what it’s passionate about.
Take Away: Without capacity, it’s all boot and no pony.
