Over the years we have heard many excuses such as: “I no longer have a bed for the kid.” “I just cannot deal with his issues now.” “I live too far away.” “ She is adopted and we are not interested in staying connected.” “I have a job and I don’t trust that kid alone.”
Because we always have children that don’t get to go home over the holidays each year, we have a set of houseparents on duty during that period. Yes, they go out of their way to hug, love, and nurture those hurting hearts left behind. Would you pray for those children today?
